Foxes and Squirrels!

6th grade science is currently learning about Ecosystems! By observing the impact that the number of foxes has on the squirrel population, students are able to make connections about the roles of predators and prey in ecosystems.

Chemical Changes... Foam Monsters!

6th grade science is currently learning about chemical changes! By observing the chemical reaction of foam insulation. Poly A and Poly B react and display signs that the students can observe. Bubbling, change in thermal energy, and color changes!

Marble Roller Coasters

6th grade science is currently learning about potential and kinetic energy. Not only do the students get to use their creativity to build a roller coaster, but they are also getting to tangibly experience potential and kinetic energy! Fun learning is impactful learning!

Racing Roaches!

6th grade science is currently learning about force, motion, and SPEED! Racing roaches is a fun (and gross) way to incorporate the critters we raise in class with learning science! Fun learning is impactful learning!

Hatching Chicks!

For the past 21 days, we've been eagerly anticipating the day our little chicks would break out of their shell... and it finally happened! Hatching chicks in the classroom not only teaches students about biology and embryonic development, but increases student engagement and fun in the classroom! Fun learning is impactful learning!

"Coach Breaux, we should put protein powder in the water so the chicks can get 'yolked'! (pun intended)"
